WHY IS CASTING IMPORTANT?
Casting is important because you need to make sure you have the right person playing the right role. If you don't have the right person playing the right role then it could massively affect how your film flows as a story and the way it is watched by the consumers, it could make it look unprofessional, and could make the director unpopular.
HOW SHOULD THE CAST BE ASSIGNED TO SPECIFIC ROLES AND WHY?
In the event of a zombie outbreak, the zombies would not all look the same, that's why our cast has been selected at random to produce a team of actors. From this random selection the differences range from gender and ethnicity to the way they dress and general individual characteristics. It is important that all of our actors look different in order to appeal to our audience as they would like to see a good range of actors. All the zombies will have blood make up applied individually so that every zombie is different. There should be female zombies because of our male consumers and we will have male characters for our female and general consumers. All of the characters selected fit into our cast roles specifically because there is no requirements expect having a variety of characters.
OUR CAST:
As our film genre is zombie horror our cast had to be a wider range. To create our zombie cast we gathered a range of individuals including; males, females, varied ethnicities , a range of dressing styles and just general independent features.
We chose to use Kai within our OTS because we wanted to use a wide range of individuals including those of different ethnicities.
