REASONS FOR OUR EDITING TECHNIQUES
Within our opening title sequence we used multiple editing techniques in order to complete our clip to a high standard. Our first technique used was the ability to add a narrated track of news presenters over the top of the video. This was what we had originally planned to do since gaining the idea from the World War Z opening title sequence and the effect of it really emphasises the seriousness of the ebola outbreak.
Another editing technique was trimming the original clips down to what we needed from each one. We then combined these clips together to make something similar to a montage which is effective to watch as the clips are quicker to flick through which prevents the audience getting bored.
We also used transitions which are available in Final Cut which allowed us to add different transitions such as shaping the clips similar to the opening title sequence of World War Z.
